Thank You

I have just recently been able to read comments. You all are amazing, I don't have the words to express my appreciation to everybody that is writing and praying.

Klint, Rachel and Abby Rae,
We are praying for you guys continuoulsy! We are praying for specifically what you have asked for. God is so mighty and so big!
Rachel-you are one amazing woman! One word that I use to describe you is a "rock." You are a fighter and I know you will get through this and become an even stronger woman of God. Everyone here at the Health Club, Hendrick, Mature Care, Highland and our BibleClass are praying for you, Klint and Abby.
She is absolutely beautiful.
Klint-You are such an example of a true warrior for Christ. It is evident that your priority is to be a man of God and then a husband and father. It has been so neat to see your heart melt when Abby came into this world. Lee and I experienced the same thing with Sofia. Looking at Abby is just a testament to God's miracles and we will be praying for complete healing for Rachel.
We love you guys and appreciate you taking the time to write and update us through all of this.
May His hand Hold you-
Stephanie and Lee Fletcher

Dear Klint,

A father could not ask for a better husband for his daughter than you. But, I hope you will listen to your dad's advice. Pace yourself as the journey will be long.

For those monitoring this blog, Rachel is now in the ICU at Crittendon Hospital in Rochester, MI. She had a siezure and had to be rushed to the hospital this afternoon after passing out. She is stable and they are giving her drugs to reduce the swelling in her brain. They hope to transfer her to the Henry Ford Hospital as soon as bed becomes open. Klint is spending the night at the hospital with Rachel. It was a scary day today; but, the number of people who are praying for Rachel is swelling in number. We know that God is at her side. Thanks for all your wonderful support for our daughter.

Sue, and Klint, and Rachel,
Nothing has been harder for Steve and I than to hear about your dilemma, since Laura gave birth to Erin Patricia 1 week ago tonight. It seems so difficult to rejoice when people we care about so much are hurting and scared. We are asking God to share some of our blessings with you this week, as Rachel goes through surgery. We will pray that Our Father guides the surgeon's scalpel as he swiftly and expertly removes the tumor from your brain, Rachel, and restores your health and life to what it was before pregnancy. You are in our thoughts, and we are in prayer every minute from now until the surgery and recover is done. God can do all things-and so can Rachel (with His help and love) And we thought Hannah was a miracle worker!!) Please feel the love and warmth that Steve and I (and Laura and her husband Dave and her daughters....are sending.

Klint and Rachel,
With tears streaming down my face, I have read your site, which was passed on to me from a dear friend in Nashville. I do not know you, but prayers of the righteous avails much, so you will be immediately put on our prayer list in Tallahassee, Floria. God is so good and finds ways to humble us and bring us back to Him. Reading about your sweet, God-loving family and the strength you are displaying through this situation, only reminds me so clearly of how tiny and trivial my own "trials" are. Thank you for turning me back to what's really important and back to God's Word and prayer to Him to get me through the days. May God continue to gather you up in His awesome arms and hold you close...may He heal Rachel completely, remove the tumor and any residual effects, bring her back home to you and Abbey, and thereafter, lead you all into whatever great plans He has in store for you all! In His blessed name, Melissa, Tallahassee

Rachel has come out of surgery, she is in critical condition right now. One doctor stated he is "cautiously optimistic"(!)... We are waiting for her to respond. Doctors are watching her closely for the next 24 hours. Pray she continues to improve! Our family is feeling the love and prayers so many- thank-you is not enough! Hopefully more positive updates to come...

Klint & Rachel - you both are in my prayers. My brother had a tumor removed from the outside of his brain 5 years ago. It was the size of a lemon. I know the terror & the uncertainity that these things bring. We can only trust in God & hold onto His hand as He leads us through the dark. May God bless you & your family. May God's Will be Done!

Klint: We heard in the last few days about Rachel. I am so sorry to hear about what is happening and I want you to know that we are praying everyday and throughout the day for her healing and for God to guide the doctors hands. I know that this must be amazingly tiring both physically and mentally and I pray for strength for you and peace for your daughter. We are with you in spirit and if we can do anything let us know please.

For anyone reading this, during the middle of the night Rachel was rushed to Henry Ford Hospital for an emergency surgery in an effort to save her life. She had become unresponsive and things looked bleak...
Once the operation was underway, doctors found that the spot on the brain was not an tumor, but an abscess (likely a staff infection). The doctors removed the abscess, along with part of her skull in order to relieve the pressure on the brain.
At around 10:20 EST, Rachel's neurosurgeon came into the waiting room and told us that Rachel was "normal". She had come out of the anesthesia, was alert and responsive, and was asking for her glasses so she could see clearly. When I left the hospital about an hour ago, Klint was in her room talking to her. We praise God for this amazing change of events. Six hours ago, Rachel was in surgery just to save her life. Right now, she is "normal."
The next 48 hours will be critical for ensuring that the swelling on her brain continues to go down. Please continue to keep Rachel and the Pleasant family in your prayers.

Thank you, Klint, for the beautiful way you are sharing your heart through your blog. Your testimony of God's faithfulness is a reminder to all of us that He is to be praised and glorified.

While you were in Abilene, I was blessed to know and be encouraged by Rachel. Her "pleasantness" and warm smile never ceased to remind me of her love for a physically and spiritually fitlife.

You are in my prayers that you will graciously receive the extravagent gift of strength to keep on keeping on in this rocky road before you. I rejoice with you all for the improvement you are beginning to see in Rachel this morning.

. . . the Lord make His face shine upon you . . .

Klint,

You and your family remain in our prayers. The Rochester College community, the Bristol Road church family, our small group, and Lisa and I are lifting you and yours before the throne of the father. Given my experience working with people with problems similar to Rachel's, I believe the news we are hearing today at Rochester College about her progress is an indicator of the miraculous working of God. We will be praying that he will continue to work mightily.

Grace, Peace, and Love,
Brian

Rachel,

Praise God! He has answered so many prayers for you. We will continue to lift you up for complete healing. What miracles He has worked in your life. Klint, may God continue to lead you. How hard this has been for you! You have had to be so brave. Brad, Sue, Hannah, and Adam........love you all and will continue to pray for you too. I cannot fathom what you all have been through. Yes, we get through this life with help from our Lord and prayers from our friends. I just can't wait to see Rachel restored completely!

My heart is heavy for what you had to endure but I am so glad to hear about the progress reported.

We asked Sunday that Rachel would be well but you never know just how that would come. Love is pouring forth to you form all directions and that is sustaining.

My prayer is that now peace and confidence will be yours and this pain though never forgotten will fad into a memory and that the things that you see now as more important will always remain in that spot.

God is so Good.

Klint--
I am sure you don't remember me from my MCC days but you (and your family) are very precious to me. Reading through your blog has been incredible--- the little energetic boy I used to enjoy watching has grown up to be quite a wonderful man. My prayers and thoughts are with you, Rachel, Abbey and all those who surround you in love and concern. It is sometimes hard to fathom what good can come from some situations but God is faithful to keep His promise that all things will work for good to those who love Him and it is so obvious you love Him with all your heart. Please know that the prayers and support will be there with you throughout the long months ahead...not only now in the time of crisis. jr
